I still cannot get over the amount of oil that is and will be
dump without stopping with no end in sight in the Gulf Coast. I
try not to imagine the people who lost their life in the blast
and all the living things in the water.
When human life is lost it is numbing.

Hi all~
Well, it is a new day, and since I always try to follow my own
advice, I am treating it as such.
I appreciate everyone here and I enjoy it when we all come
together to have lively discussions. I think it’s one of the
things I had been missing about the Lagaan blog.
I think what happened yesterday is that things suddenly became
clear to me.
I’ll never forget the words of Shalini, a blogger from long ago.
She said that the blog does not exist for our enjoyment nor we
for its. (Or something to that effect.) She is right.
So, without me, the blog will still be the blog, and I will still
be Joanna (for what that’s worth.) I need to step away for a
while, but hopefully just for a while.
This is nothing personal towards anyone and I want all of you to
know that you are a part of my life and I have become a better
person through our interactions.
So it’s not goodbye, but hope to see you all again soon.

I regret when written discussions lead to hurt feelings.
Though I cannot pretend to have grown up with Praveer, what the
hey, I will say something about his personality!! (burn me on the
pyre, guys!) :-P
I always get a mild cheeky vibe from his posts and the desire to
be authentic. I think he was maybe trying to clear the air and
have everyone be honest here? (correct me if I'm wrong, Praveer).
This said, experience has taught me that we should come here in
the degree we feel comfortable and do what our heart says.
Stepping back or participating is your entire prerogative and I
am sure you will do whatever makes you feel good. Love you lots.

MIRA PKG Part 2
Even though some comments are slightly referring to life
difficulties, I believe it is no speculation. Everyone has had to
face these at some point and from Aamir's current or past posts
it is clear he was not going through a chirpy time and was
comfortable enough to share it.
Cheers to him for sharing. And cheers to everyone's personal
baggage for making an interesting blog gang, hehe. :-)

About talking or not about Aamir's "personality" on his blog,
hmm... Maybe we all have different comfort thresholds in terms of
discussing certain things in public.
I've reread everyone and actually see an interesting collection
of thoughts on life triggered by the news of Aamir taking an
acting break. It is true that everyone’s comments are possibly
tainted with a pinch of respective personal baggage, so maybe
this is what is being interpreted as opinions on his own
personality. But who is exempt from colouring Aamir's image with
his/her own views, concerns, etc.?
that's ok. Don't worry. It really leaves one speechless. And I'd
rather have you say nothing than blog about your diet and fitness
plan at a time like this.
So, take your time we're all here, ready to be back whenever you
